What comes next?

20 Dec

Maybe you didn’t notice, but i haven’t posted much or anything at all lately. Honestly, my two baby girls are taking most of my time (Blog time, gaming time, etc). But my leave is almost over, so i’ll be back to work soon. Since i have a long comute back home, i’ll have some spare blog time on the train and will probably pick up where i left of.

But i could use your help. I haven’t received comments lately and I’ve sincerely thought about shutting the place down. I guess it’s up to you. If i still have anyone out there that finds this blog interesting or useful, i’ll keep running it. I love the Lore-master class and i have great pleasure on passing my experience to others.

So I’ve created a poll so you can choose or guide me into what you think StaffStrike should be heading next. If the blog has run its course, it was a very rewarding first blogging experience.

Please vote and merry Christmas in your part of the world.

I have been watching your site avidly for an update – sorry, apparently I need to give some to get some!

How about a post on how to layout our skills, quickslots and UI? I am slotting things as Turbine gives them to me and it is a mess. Now that Turbine has changed up the class so much, is your layout working for you? what would you suggest?

I think some UI tips would be helpful too. I’ve just come back to my LM again from a minstrel character, and it’s been rough. I lost my muscle memory for all the keys for my skills, and I keep dying while I try to figure out what all my skills do again. (And I keep forgetting how squishy I am!) So I’ve pretty much stalled on leveling. I think a refreshed skill layout might help me.

I also plan on going back through what you have so far in the blog. I hope you can continue it when you have time! But certainly, enjoy all the time you have with the girls, they need your attention much more than any of us. =D

      Answering you and Elinnea,

My Layout was made when i first leveled my Lore-Master around 3 years ago. It’s messy, but my muscle memory doesn’t let me change it that much. I’m still having trouble fitting in the new skills that came with the November update.

Anyway, I’ll screenshot my UI and post it soon.

      Thanks for your interest. 🙂

Please do keep posting. I enjoyed your input on the CStM podcast and would like to see this site grow into a solid resource for our great class.

I, too, have been checking for updates sporadically (obviously) and would certainly enjoy any future additions you might add. I’m very slowly leveling a loremaster as an alt, and though I enjoy the class, it’s also the one I seem to struggle the most with. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

I was drawn in by your review of the skills, but I quit checking the site regularly because there was no new content. If you start posting again, I’ll start reading again…

Please keep posting if you have the time. Kown what it like having young children, really cuts into your gaming time 🙂 Been told that teenage, when they stop talking to you, you have more free time. Have to wait and see.

Tried a LM a few years ago when I started playing LOTRO but gave up and focused a leveling a few Champs and a Runekeeper. But after having listerned to the CSTM Podcast on Loremasters thought I would give it another try. My LM is now 53 and in some ways has become main. Also leveling a guardian at the moment as well.
But leveving the LM has make LOTRO more of a fun game again for me.

So keep going with the blog if you are able, I like reading your your insights into the LM, or ask CSTM if you can post on their site. But either way keep going.
      Cheers
